GREAT COCKUP
Height: 1726', (526m)
Grid Ref: NY 273333

Wainwright has the summit as approx. 1720' - recent surveys of 526 metres produces 1726'. Great Cockup shares one of the more unusual features of the Northern fells with Meal Fell, namely the craggy col of Trusmadoor.

GREAT SCA FELL
Height: 2135', (651m)
Grid Ref: NY 291339

HIGH PIKE
Height: 2157 ', (658m)
Grid reference: NY 319350

The summit of High Pike is unusual in having the remains of a shepherd's cottage and a seat, besides the more usual trig pillar and cairn. The seat was placed there as a memorial to a local boy and was originally made of wrought iron, though this was replaced by a simpler slate seat around1961 (apparently, sheep had been getting their horns caught in the iron seat).
Though the summit cottage is uninhabitable, about a mile to the south west on Great Lingy Hill stands one of the few bothies in the Lake District, an old shooting hut which has open access. Looking through its guest book, it seems to be very popular with people walking the Cumbria Way.

Note: there is another High Pike on the Fairfield Horseshoe in the Eastern Fells.

KNOTT
Height: 2329', (710m)
Grid Ref: NY 296330

Knott is the highest of the hills 'Back o'Skidda', which is how the hills situated north of Skiddaw and Blencathra are more popularly known, though they're more properly known as the Uldale and Caldbeck Fells.

LATRIGG
Height: 1207', (368m) (Wainwright has the summit as 1203')
Grid Ref: NY 279247

No Lakeland summit is situated closer to a parking space than that of Latrigg, which makes it possibly the easiest of all the Wainwrights to bag for car drivers. It is one of the foothills of Skiddaw and is the closest to Keswick - even without using a car, it's possible to climb the hill from the town centre and return within an hour.

LONG SIDE
Height: 2408', (734m)
Grid Ref: NY 249284

Long Side is one of two summits located on Longside Edge, a narrow ridge which gives one of the finest approaches to Skiddaw from the north west, (the other summit being the more familiar Ullock Pike).

LONGLANDS FELL
Height: 1581', (482m)
Grid Ref: NY 276354

LONSCALE FELL
Height: 2344', (715m)
Grid Ref: NY 286271

The summit of Lonscale Fell lies about a mile east of the main 'tourist' path which climbs Skiddaw from Keswick. The highest point is a flat featureless plateau, though there is an east peak (Lonscale Pike) which is one of the finest tops in the northern fells, being perched over the steep Lonscale Crags with the Glenderaterra valley far below.

MEAL FELL
Height: 1804', (550m)
Grid Ref: NY 283337

Meal Fell is of the most defined fells in the immediate area, being surrounded by steep ravines on all sides except to the east. It's summit is typical of the fells 'Back o'Skidda', being broad and grassy, but the most striking feature of the fell is the col it shares with Great Cockup, a U-shaped cutting of slaty crags known as Trusmadoor.
